School Improvement

We have also been working hard on our School Improvement areas-highlighted by Mr Linnett in November. Some of the main areas of improvement in the SIP are as follows:

  • All aspects of school leadership, management and organisation have a positive impact on children’s academic achievement and personal development

  • The progress of all children compares favourably with local and national pupil outcomes with a particular focus on more able children fulfilling their potential

  • Staff training supports the effective teaching of whole class mathematics lessons which provide regular challenge for more able children

  • The development of accurate assessment systems which help teachers pinpoint children’s strengths and what their next steps in learning should be

  • The re-wording and embedding of school values in all aspects of school life

  • As you know our values have been revamped by the children and staff. This will be a focus are for the Spring Term. The homework for the next few weeks is designed to raise the profile of the values both at home and at school. We really appreciate support to embed these values.
