I can’t believe that this term has flashed by so quickly. I have loved getting to know all of the children, parents and staff this term and feel truly blessed to have been given such a warm welcome. This term has been very busy and I just wanted to take some time to celebrate some of the wonderful things the children have been involved with this term.
The whole school was successfully rewired!
Year 6 have been to Tubbenden for a SOLA team building day.
We had a very successful Car Free Friday where a lot of children walked or scooted to school.
We raised £172 with the sale of Cauliflower cards.
We made £273.90 commission from the Tempest school photographs.
Jeans for Genes day raised £70.
Year 5 and 5 had a very successful Bikeability.
Grandparent Harvest Assembly was well attended and the grandparents and children really enjoyed taking part in the Harvest crafts.
Emerald class were visited by Orpington Fire Brigade as part of their topic.
The Spooky bingo and Halloween disco raised £405.91.
We had a lovely Harvest Festival at the Church and received 91.4kg of donations for Foodbank.
After half term we had fantastic visits to the Royal Courts of Justice, Brixton Chocolate Museum and The Great Fire of London Monument.
We raised £78 for Children In Need and had a great Be Bright Be Seen awareness day
New windows were installed throughout the school.
From your donations we made £142 on the chocolate tombola at the Village Christmas Market.
Our fabulous Christmas Fair raised £950.
Emerald class enjoyed marshmallows over the Great Fire of Pratts Bottom!
We finished the term with Gemstones’ trip to Father Christmas, a superb pantomime of The Wiz and some cowboy singing in the Nativity!
