Whilst on the subject of speaking to teachers, of course if you have a quick message you can very quickly speak directly to your child’s teacher in the mornings, or write a note in your child’s contact book/reading record. However if it’s something that requires a more in depth chat please could you kindly ask the teacher or go to the office and ask for an appointment, which more than likely will take place after school that day or at a mutually convenient time. It is a bit tricky when you have a class of children all champing at the bit to start their learning to really give a parent our full attention. If an appointment isn’t feasible then please do email the school office on firstname.lastname@example.org and the teacher concerned will get back to you ASAP, I am afraid we cannot give out teachers’ own email addresses. There is also a huge amount of information available on our wonderful new school website so please do have a look on there. In addition to this I am making my promise to you now that pupils will be outside on the playground ready to scoot off to their after school activtities at 3:30pm – please accept my apologies for any recent tardiness.
