Governing Body
Mr Peter Ioannou
Chair of Governors & Parent Governor
My daughter is a pupil at Pratts Bottom and I wanted to become more involved in working towards helping all children achieve their full potential. I believe Pratts Bottom offers the environment to achieve this. I am committed to working with the School to add value where I can and specifically with the Resources Committee.
Mr Brian Ford
Vice Chair of Governors and Parent Governor
I have lived in the Borough of Bromley since 2008 and am relishing the opportunity to serve as a Governor, as I have two children attending Pratts Bottom Primary School. Being involved in supporting the school from a strategic perspective is something I am looking forward to. I am grateful to be able to help the school that provides our children and community with key core values.
Mrs Sophie Perez
Staff Governor
I have worked at Pratts Bottom for seven years now and have thoroughly enjoyed my time so far. There is such a wonderful community here and the children are so supportive of one other. When the opportunity arose to be become a staff governor, I jumped at the chance. I look forward to helping the school grow even further and continuing to provide all the opportunities we can for the children.
Mrs Emel Ibrahim
Co-Opted Governor
I have been a class teacher for over thirty years, mostly teaching in London schools. In January 2019, I retired, but still wanted to have links to education, hence becoming a governor at Pratts Bottom Primary School. I have taught in KS1 and 2, as well as being a subject leader for literacy and humanities. I am looking forward to working with everyone at Pratts Bottom Primary school: to move the school forward and to ensure that the children have the best possible start to their educational learning.
Reverend Susan Atkinson-Jones
Co-Opted Governor
As a Vicar I have always focussed on links between the church and schools in the community as I believe that by working together we can improve life for those within the communities we serve.
I am grateful for the opportunity to be a co-opted Governor at Pratts Bottom Primary School as I hope the skills I have developed over the years will be of benefit in the ongoing development of the school. I look forward to working as a part of a team as we seek to provide opportunities for the school to grow in strength and for the children to attain their fullest potential.
Ms Saleha Fazal
Co-Opted Governor
I joined Pratts Bottom Primary School as a co-opted governor in January 2021. Volunteering as a governor gives me an opportunity to give something back to the community and be able to influence decisions that affect young children's lives. I passionately believe that all children can achieve great things given the best education and the right opportunities. I look forward to working with everyone involved to ensure that the high standards of education at Pratts Bottom School continue and that we further work towards providing the best possible education for the children at the School.
Mr Chitranga Diyasena
Co-opted Governor
I have been working in various parts of the world for more than thirty years. During my stay in Malawi, Central Africa, I served as a parent governor in the governing board of Hillview Primary School, an international primary school, where my daughter started her education. I enjoyed that role and worked with management to improve schooling experiences for young children.
It is my belief that I can share my knowledge and experience with Pratts Bottom Primary School to enhance its strategic goals.
Mrs Keeley Bentley
Parent Governor
I have two daughters at Pratts Bottom Primary School and a son due to start in September 2020. I am passionate about our school and excited to be able to help shape its future, ensuring it continues to help pupils achieve their full potential and follow their dreams.
Mrs Sharon Hynes
Parent Governor
I have a daughter at the school and feel passionately that all our children should receive the best quality education. As a psychodynamic counsellor I am also interested in the psychological and emotional wellbeing of our children in the school environment. I am committed to being an active member of the governing body to ensure our school's continued success.
Mr Harinath Krishnakumar
Co-opted Governor
I moved to Orpington two years ago and have 2 children who attend another SOLA school. I have many years of IT experience with a strong focus on strategy and governance. I have worked across India and UK and have knowledge of both the countries’ education systems. I strongly believe in educating children and look forward to serving the school.
